Terms of Use

Effective September 7, 2026

These terms apply to the CodeHound app for iPhone and the website codehound.app (together, "CodeHound"), provided by Rick Conner ("we"). By installing or using CodeHound you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What CodeHound is

CodeHound is a tool that reads the Promotions category of your Gmail account, with your permission, and lists the promotional codes, offers and deadlines it finds. It is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your Google account

CodeHound accesses Gmail only after you sign in with Google and grant read-only access. You are responsible for the account you connect and for keeping your device secure. You can withdraw access at any time by signing out in the app or from your Google account settings. Your use of Gmail remains subject to Google's own terms.

3. Deals are read from emails, not guaranteed

CodeHound extracts information automatically from marketing emails sent by third parties. It may miss codes, misread offers or deadlines, or show a code that the store has already withdrawn. Whether a code works, and on what terms, is entirely up to the store. CodeHound is not a party to any purchase, has no relationship with the stores, and makes no promise that any deal is valid.

4. Acceptable use

Use CodeHound only with accounts you own or are authorised to access, and only in ways that comply with applicable law and Google's policies. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the OAuth client, interfere with the service, or use the app to access someone else's mail.

5. Privacy

How CodeHound handles your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. No warranty

CodeHound is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will find every deal.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of savings, data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use CodeHound, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to CodeHound is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is nothing.

8. Changes and termination

We may update CodeHound, change these terms, or discontinue the app at any time. Updated terms take effect when posted on this page. You can stop using CodeHound at any time by signing out and deleting the app.

9. Trademarks

Google and Gmail are trademarks of Google LLC. Store names shown in the app belong to their respective owners. CodeHound is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
